In the band's early formation, Saman Malekinezhad performed on bass guitar; in 2025 he transitioned to electric guitar as Amir Homayoon joined as the new bassist. Lyrically, the group began under the pen of Aidin Mozaffari on their debut record, before Omid Noorani Fani took on the role of poet and lyricist from the second album onward.
Alizam’s debut album, Taedium Vitae (2023), introduced their signature blend of desolation, folk-inspired motifs, and heavy atmospheric textures. Their second full-length record, Exilium Vitae (2025), expands this sonic and conceptual world: a darker, more immersive exploration of exile, decay, and inner erosion, built upon doom-driven dynamics.
Through evolving lineups, shifting roles, and expanding narratives, Alizam continues to carve a voice where folk heritage, poetic darkness, and the weight of doom converge into a singular atmospheric identity.
